HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU?
My books are currently closed. To be alerted about availability and when they will open, follow me on Instagram and join my waitlist below.
To book an appointment follow the link https://leahlikesskin.glossgenius.com/ . Complete your forms in full as soon as you make your appointment. If you do not fill out your forms your appointment will not be accepted. Your form is where you will give a detailed description of the tattoo(s) you are interested in getting, along with the desired location on your body and approximate size in inches. Please include anything specific such as names, dates, flowers, ect. As well as anything you definitely do or don’t want included or if you're ok with artist freedom. These details are important and will save us time day of. You can also include a Pinterest boards as well to help me understand the vibe you’re going for. If you have reference photos (encouraged) please email them to me at leahlikesskin@gmail.com
*Please fill out the required documents/forms within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in your appointment being cancelled and loosing your spot.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED
I am located in a private studio space in downtown Raleigh. You will receive the address and details on where I am located in your confirmation text and email prior to your appointment.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes, a non refundable deposit is required to hold your appointment spot. All deposits are non refundable and only transfer once per reschedule given a 48hour notice. Failure to give a 48 hour notice for any reason is a forfeit of your deposit.
CAN I RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?
Appointments can be rescheduled once provided a 48 hour notice is given. Deposits will be transferred one time only. If you need to reschedule less than 48 hours prior to your appointment it will count as a late cancellation and your deposit will not transfer, you will be required to pay another one to reschedule and you will be charged the cancellation fee. Canceling or rescheduling twice in a row will result in forfeiting your deposit.
*Failure to provide sufficient notice and/or no showing your appointment for any reason will mean your deposit is forfeited and you will be charged a cancelation fee of 50% of your service. *Please send an email and text message for any cancellations or reschedules. No shows will not be rescheduled or allowed to rebook.
CAN I SEE MY DESIGN BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT
I create artwork based on the information you provide me. Like most tattoo artists, I do not send out designs in advance. You will only see the drawing on the day of the appointment. Any minor changes that need to be made can be made together day of.
Please be aware your appointment and deposit is for the design agreed. If you would like to make major changes to your original design before your appointment, please get ahold of me as soon as possible to discuss next steps. Any big changes in design may result in a decline/need to reschedule your appointment and/or an additional drawing fee.
WHATS YOUR PRICING?
Please refer to my booking site for examples of pricing via size of your tattoo. All prices listed are starting points and may increase at artists discretion depending on size and or complexity of the design. 200 is my current minimum.
DO YOU OFFER A WAITLIST?
Yes, you can join my waitlist via my GlossGenius booking site. *Please be sure to include your desired tattoo details in the “Preferred Times and Other Notes” section. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee you an appointment. Please note that cancellations are extremely rare.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Please read through the polices and FAQ’s to prepare yourself for your appointment. Follow the pre care instructions. Review and fill out the required documents via your confirmation link and reach out with any questions you have not answered here.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
At this time I do not allow guests. I advise coming to your appointment alone, ready to relax. My studio is very small and I work best in a calm, quiet setting with minimal conversation while tattooing so I can focus. Please bring headphones or a book for entertainment.
*Minors under the age of 16 are not allowed in the studio.
HOW CAN I PAY?
Please make payments via cash, apple pay, or credit/debit card. Card and Apple pay will include a service fee. Please pay with cash if possible.
DO YOU TATTOO IN COLOR?
At this time, I specialize exclusively in black and grey work. On rare occasions, I make exceptions for small pops of color, such as filling a heart in red. I have a very limited palette of colors available, including red and a few other primary tones.
DO YOU DO COVERUPS?
At this time, I do not offer cover ups or touch up other artists work.
WHAT PLACEMENTS DO YOU NOT DO?
I will not tattoo sides of fingers/hands or palms, face, mouth, genital areas, bottoms/sides of feet.
Placements I advise against are ribs, fingers, wrist, and stomach.
Placements I love are arms, legs, and backs.
WHAT ABOUT APPOINTMENT ETIQUETTE?
*Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment and no later than 15 minutes late. Late arrivals will be considered a no show and will need to be rescheduled and lose their deposit.
If you need to reschedule or cancel you are asked to provide 48 hour notice. One reschedule per deposit.
Please do not plan anything such as work or phone calls durning your appointment time.
It’s very hard to estimate how long it will take to complete a tattoo. *Because of this, tattoo appointments can take longer (or be shorter) than expected at times. *Please do not schedule anything close to your tattoo end time, as running behind can happen. Time constraints are very stressful for both you and I. I recommend making a day of your appointment so you can fully enjoy it. Of course if something does come up please communicate with me.
Please refrain from using numbing cream.
Please bring a valid form of ID.
You may not get a tattoo if you are pregnant or nursing.
You must be 18+ to be tattooed in NC state.
No shows and late cancellations will be charged 50% of their anticipated appointment cost.
TATTOO PRE CARE
Drink plenty of water before your appointment and make sure to eat.
*Moisturize and shave the area to be tattooed well the weeks before the appointment but not day of. I recommend lubaderm lotion. This is an important step and is a must for dry skin types.
Wear appropriate clothing to your appointment for your placement, i.e short sleeve for arm tattoos, or shorts for legs. Dark neutral colored, loose fitting clothing is preferred. A over sized button up is always a good idea.
Do not consume alcohol or blood thinning medication prior to the appointment / the night before.
TATTOO AFTERCARE
You will leave with second skin bandage on your new tattoo. Please leave this on for 3-5 days and follow directions on how to remove. Slowly with warm water and soap work best. (Please remove second skin right away if irritation occurs)
Wash new tattoo 3x a day with a fragrance free soap and pat dry.
Apply a thin layer of tattoo ointment such as Mad rabbit 3-5x a day on clean skin. I do not recommend aquaphor. I will have Mad rabbit products for sale in shop at a discounted price. Do this until tattoo is completely healed, anywhere from 2-6 weeks. After your tattoo is healed switch to a non scented lotion such as Lubaderm and keep skin hydrated for the next couple of weeks.
Your new tattoo is an open wound. Please treat it as one.
No working out for 3 days
Do not pick or itch the tattoo.
Do not submerge tattoo in any form of water for 4 weeks.
No direct sunlight or tanning for 6 weeks. Always apply spf to your tattoo when in the sun or outside.
Keep tattoo very moisturized for the 4 weeks after your appointment or until fully healed. Most tattoos heal within a 2-6 week time frame.
*Due to the nature of fine line tattoos, touch ups are sometimes necessary.
You may schedule a touch up no sooner than 6 weeks after your appointment. Touch ups are scheduled the same way as a regular appointments, though my gloss site. Please include/email a well taken photo of your tattoo in natural lighting with your request. This will help me determine how much time we need. Touch ups are done at a discounted price of 50, this is only to cover the supplies/set up fee. Touch ups are complementary if scheduled with a new tattoo appointment and done in the same appointment.
It’s important to remember that tattoos will always heal lighter and have a softer look once healed.
Remember to send healed pictures regardless if you think you need a touch up or not :)
